2009 was a year of ALMOSTS for me… I dunno but I was really down that year and somehow, I found myself STRIVING… Whether it be getting gigs, recording a demo, going to countless auditions and go sees and producing a show on MTV that never pushed through, or something as little as having enough gas money or cellphone load, I could say that life was really difficult that year and I was merely struggling to get by.

This 2010, I saw God move and swing doors wide open for me. For the first time in my life, I felt God’s anointing and favor as regards to my chosen craft and field of work. I was finally earning a decent amount of money doing what I loved to do! And that was such a big blessing for me…

Aside from Tech Trip on TV5, I also had a temporary stint on UNTV’s Good Morning Kuya… Which didn’t pan out so well since I’m not really a morning person and most of my singing & hosting gigs are at night. Haha, had a great time hanging out and working with them though!

I hosted a series of events for various companies — challenging but a lot of fun.

And got the chance to do the live showbiz news for Aksyon on TV5 — absolutely nerve wracking but exciting at the same time.

Had a good number of singing gigs that made me realize, “Hey. I am a professional singer after all!”. Haha, people were actually willing to pay to hear me sing!

Because of my show on Youtube, Say Wuht?!?! with Gee, I was able to be a Kapuyater for Music Uplate Live, get a taste of how it was to be on radio by being part of the Magic 89.9 family, invited by the Good Fellas Production to Boracay for a sportsfest, host one of ABS CBN’s TFC events, collaborate with Moymoy Palaboy and get brand spankin’ new headphones care of Monster — on top of our 1 day trip to Singapore for Amazing Race Asia.

And of course, the new acquaintances and resources that God has placed in my hands to continue pursuing my music and release my songs has just been so overwhelming.
For the first time in 27 years, I was able to significantly help and contribute financially to my family by being an artist. That means a lot to me… Been waiting and praying for this moment to come and now that it has, I cannot help but feel that God is indeed with me in this… He is holding my hand, walking with me and is leading me to my “promised land”.
I know that this is just the beginning. I believe with all my heart, mind, body and soul that 2011 would be much, much greater — filled with more wonderful, amazing and unexpected surprises from Him.
I am grateful, expectant, excited… I am loved.

I AM ABBY ASISTIO. SINGER/SONGWRITER, TV & EVENTS HOST AND PRODUCER… I ABSOLUTELY LOVE MY JOB.
